In summary…

Aurum Fund Management Ltd. has been awarded an ‘A’ rating by the United Nation Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) in our second annual Assessment Report.

An upgrade on last year’s ‘B’ rating, this demonstrates our continuing commitment to incorporating ESG considerations into both our investment analysis and the way that Aurum is run as a business.

UNPRI works with investment managers who are signatories to the Principles to advise on incorporating ESG issues into investment practice and assess what signatories are doing. The Report is assessed on the depth and coverage of our responsible investment policy, our goals and objectives, governance within the company and on what we do to promote responsible investment in our industry.

The number of hedge funds incorporating responsible investment factors into their decision making grew by 10% in the year to 2015, and the number of fund of hedge funds reporting grew 47% in 2015 to 72 managers*. Our ‘A’ rating puts us amongst the best of our peers in responsible investing reporting in the hedge fund industry; an industry which the UNPRI describe as ‘the most dynamic area for investment managers’.
